He’s been doing this for years. It started here over a decade ago with the ~~request~~ demand of $300 for that stupid survey subscription. Always makes it look like he’s doing everyone a service and it’s only fair he’s being reimbursed. I lost count of how many MacBooks he needed. I remember some chatter about needing a new one last year. The old ones are probably being used by his wife and daughter and are still quite functional. Why does he need a new MacBook? He does not do any editing. Shouldn’t Tibor need one? Does he make Tibor use his own equipment? Patrons have a right to know this.

And yes, he never misses an opportunity to express his gratitude toward the donating parties. This is a subtle manipulation tactic which is meant to solicit donations from other parties who are meant to feel like they should have donated as well. The same tactics WT uses when they for no apparent reason relate an anecdote about a child donating their lunch money.

What often gets lost in the shuffle is that he’s is already being funded for these purchases. €82,000 was taken in by Ipsilon Media last year in what was by his account a bad one financially. That’s not enough to purchase a MacBook, Ronin DGI Gimbal and his daughter’s haircut? Figure it out and purchase the MacBook out of that, don’t pay yourself most of it and then claim you still need equipment which is what he’s doing. This is what spoilt kids do. My brother did this all the time by volunteering to go to the market and get some milk, but spending it all on sweets and then coming back and saying it wasn’t enough and he needed more.

When Patrons pledge, they are effectively sending money to Ipsilon Media, care of Lloyd Evans. He decides how the money is distributed within the company, including his cut of the loot. He’s already demonstrated that he cannot be trusted with money.

Do we know for sure what he had in his business account when he did that recent begging session, claiming to be skint? I'd like to demonstrate that he's lying about his financial situation.

He had 61,962 HRK (€8224) in his account. This is actual cash held in the bank, not the value of his equipment which was listed in another section. 4.2.4 is the part you want to look at.

This was what was claimed at the end of 2022, so unless he blew over €8K in the first three weeks of January, he had more than enough to cover his claimed €700 shortfall. In fact, it wasn’t even a shortfall at all. It’s all a clever accounting trick to funnel money to him personally and claim the business was bleeding money.

We also need to factor in the rising cost of living and high inflation levels respectively.

There is also the onset of the summer holiday season and people (esp in Europe) are making their plans. So many factors at work here and I’d hate to stake my living on a a few hundred completely voluntary acts of kindness.

The way lloyd has the tendency to “sanitize” information, I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t know

Lloyd used to have a highly effective firewall against negative information. People stumbling upon the scene are going to notice Jabba the Hutt’s presence first and the way he kept his paying Patrons paying was by monopolising the market and spreading fear to those who defied it. (He still does try to make people afraid but it looks pathetic and only invites more people to speak up). As people started their own online circles, Lloyd was nearly universally praised and the dissenters always had something wrong with them. Evangelicals. Failed and jealous activists. JW Mindsets.

Now it’s not a question of if but when they stumble upon information not convenient to Lloyd and people willing to convey it. The system of fear has been lifted.

This is why his Patronage is always in flux. Gains some, loses more. The free flow of information is such a bitch, and despite his and Tibor’s attempts to label and sideline it, it doesn’t favour Lloyd at all.

He blew his golden opportunity and thought he was too clever to fail.

He will carry on as usual. I don't think he is going to slow down on the channel as he threatened. It would be an admission of defeat.

All of his threats to this end are pathetic attempts to manipulate his donor base and to try to attract new ones. The problem for him is that there are still roughly 10-20 drops at the end of the month. As he approaches his new lows, these have shrunk to slightly more than 10. This wasn't a problem for him before as he had 30-40 sign up during a given month. Last month he actually had a negative drop during the month which is a large reason why he had no buffer to prevent him from sinking below 400 again.

His business model is at a crossroads. The monthly drops were typical even when he had over 800 patrons. These were from people who dropped due to losing interest, leaving the community, not seeing the need to donate or simply not being able to afford it. So, he has to gain at least 10 during the month to stay even, and 20 -30 gains per month to see any real growth as he outlined in his request to get back to 620, even 500 patrons.

The trend is still slightly downward and he's tried everything for the past 13 months to get it to reverse. This could mean another series of begging/threats to leave, or as I think more likely, he'll be working behind the scenes and letting people know he's hurting. He's gained 4 back so it might be due to private lobbying. I imagine he'll try to keep Tibor and Ramacro as long as he can, since dumping them will create the illusion he's about to fold.

Still, he's lost the entire bump he has received as a result of his begging tweets. He can't keep on running back to this every few months and not have the more rational patrons of his think they are giving money to a sinking ship. 500 and especially 620 patrons are unrealistic goals of his as it sits. Begging failed. He'll try something else not as blatant.

I was not going to trust blindly that is why I read EVERY linked thread in this thread. It was disgusting to say the least. Everything that people were saying on this thread was true!

The threads he got into arguments on all had a common denominator:

People were upsetting his wife by arguing with him.

I have no reason to doubt she was upset but had every reason to believe he was the one upsetting her by throwing a tantrum because someone had gotten the best of him.

It’s what made his Thailand scandal and the livestream so poignant. He’s always used her and later his children as human shields. Even recently he’s talking about the cost of his daughter’s haircut and making videos with her about unicorns despite the continued sniping.

Yet he humiliates his wife on the livestream and says jack shit about how he upset her other than he owed her an apology for “cheating”. In typical fashion, he blames all of US for “attacking my family” as if he had not abandoned them for a sex holiday in Thailand just weeks earlier. Classic example of moral cowardice.

I’ll leave you with this Patron’s only post. Please note that the date is 31 January and this the same day of the livestream. He actually dared to say him and his family had been dealt a “huge blow” and were in a “healing process” just hours after telling the world that Dijana had never sexually satisfied him and there was something always wrong with their marriage.

And thanks for the thoughtful sentiments for Dijana and the girls! Too bad he didn’t hold himself to that same standard.

In most cultures he would have had the shit kicked out of him by someone in the wife’s family. It is what it is.

And keep updating those screens. As it has on every other drop day, it will be bleeding well into the evening and probably tomorrow. Since it’s the weekend, it might even bleed into Monday. 386 was his low in December as I remember. 396 was where he felt he needed to beg.

Expect the begging to begin soon guys. Will it work this time again?

It’s a risky move, especially given the threats he made about shutting down Ramacro, letting Tibor go, only doing two a month and finding another job. He begs again, people are going to stop believing his threats.

With that said, I think Ramacro will be the first domino to fall. It never made any sense anyway, and I got called a conspiracy theorist to suggest someone had to be living in what was otherwise a largely empty flat.

The funniest part of his legal proceedings is that THE ONLY consequence for the M7 is a fine

Though he'd love damages awarded, this is not what he's really after. He wants a judgment that says the M7 is guilty of defaming him so he can wave it round in a victory lap. He's hinted at this before.

Even when he had interesting guests he ruined it because he dominated the conversation himself.

I don't think he's capable of accurately reading an audience and/or people. He just assumes his content is best and that everyone enjoys his schtick. Remember when he was on BBC Radio, but he recorded the video exchange with the reporter? He thought it went well, but I could see the exasperation in the reporter's face and in her voice when she was asking a specific question about JWs and he kept referring to his book and made a drawn-out explanation of it when he could have answered it in 30 seconds. She actually cut the interview short after she tired of him.

Any normal person could carve out a very comfortable life for him at his family at 399 patrons plus the other income streams. But he’s not a normal person.

He wants/wanted to retire in about 10 years' time when he is in his early 50's. He's tweeted about moving on from exJW content and also about how he can see his end game. His response to Andrew Gold was revealing as he talked about living on an island, owning a boat, going fishing, and just leisurely writing books on things JW and non-JW related.

This is why he wants 620 or more patrons. He thinks his content is so great, that it's a living resource and he should continue to be compensated for it even after he stops making videos. Sure, what he earns right now can pay the rent/bills in Zagreb, plus a modest amount to the wife/kids, with enough left over for a couple holidays a year in Croatia, Budapest, UK...

But he desires much more than paying the bills and travelling not far from home. He was well on the way to retirement at 889 Patrons and this is why he is so sour because it means not only does he have to fight just to live the life he lives now, but he's going to have to do this well into his old age at today's level of support.

Yet another reason he should get a job with a real pension program. He's expecting exJWs to pay his rent and living expenses all the way to the grave.

Now this has morphed into:

"You are not supporting me enough. I still did nothing wrong, but my financial support has cratered due to no faults of my own and I am making less than half of what I did last year. If I don't regain at least 100 patrons, I'm going to have to reduce myself to doing two videos a month, sack Tibor and Dijana, and it's the fault of all these people who are still going on about what I said in my livestream. And you really need to get me back to 620 patrons if I am going to do anything other than produce videos in my studio. Tibor was hired at 620 patrons, so make your choices accordingly."

Never show your cards, ESPECIALLY when you are losing so badly. And that's precisely what he did and now he expects people to pity him enough to throw him money. It wasn't sustainable and now he's in the same situation he found himself in back in January. People support winners, not losers. Giving money to a content creator who threatened to leave if donations don't recover is simply pity at this point, like giving a wounded street dog who needs to be put down a few morsels of meat.

I would love to see this play out in court. He will never be able to prove damages

I agree but I was careful in saying this out loud before as it's easy to say when my name is not on the litigation. A part of me actually wants this to go to trial. Can you imagine Lloyd on the stand giving testimony which is then contradicted in cross examination? And all the statements he's made on social media that he'd be forced to back away from on the stand and Lloydsplain it away.

"Yes, I did say I'd fight for the next 40 years until I got a favourable verdict, but I meant it to be a figurative '40 years'. 40 years to me is not the literal 40 years you are all thinking"

It's a logistical nightmare for the municipal Sisak court regarding the language barrier and arranging an interpreter for not only the M7, but Lloyd himself. Who pays? It's his lawsuit. Sorry, objection to the court interpreter being his wife and also a Director of Ipsilon Media.

He'd fight tooth and nail against the discovery process when his financial documents are subpoenaed. He knows the same thing you do, that they will be leaked (or at least the information contained within) and he'll be exposed for earning some serious take home pay for 2020 - 2021. And he'd be giving bizarre reasonings to the judge when confronted about his failure to respond to discovery...

"Your honour, these people have defamed and traumatised me, and the court forcing me into giving them my financial documents would be tantamount to the court joining in the defamation and harassment."

He'll also get way ahead of himself and provide the judge suggested penalties and recompense. The totals would be insane...

Using Raymond Franz to try and make an argument is vile considering Lloyd's disgusting behavior towards the holder of Raymond Franz estate.

Absolutely. He “apologised” and then starts blaming her at the same time. Pays the $50 under protest, criticises her for sending him a cease and desist via parcel service and accuses her of being in cahoots with Mike and Kim. Then in what can only be described as a hate campaign, calls her an “unworthy custodian” of Franz’s legacy and likened her to “withholding antibiotics in the midst of a pandemic”.

This coming from the same party who stole her copyright and attempted to sell it!

I knew this would happen the moment Kim stepped forward. Lloyd has “helped”, but with a non-negotiable condition: He’s getting paid, and it had better be at his expected levels. Lloyd has always shied away from actually helping people who watched a video and wanted to talk to him - either by email, social media or by phone. He claims he’s busy working one week out of the month and if you’re lucky he’d farm it out to someone to reach out to you. Even then you’d be getting a sermon about how great Lloyd is and would not it be wonderful if he’d have you on for an interview to discuss your crisis? He’s even snapped at people who asked him for a link to one of his own videos, telling them his time is valuable and they need to do their homework. Imagine a counsellor at a suicide hotline with the same attitude.

Based on January’s begging tweets and his leaked Patrons videos, we can see where his heart really is. “Get me to 500 patrons and I’ll stay, but I really deserve more. 620 if you want me to keep Tibor.”

You can make the weak argument that Joel Osteen has helped people come closer to Jesus and has saved marriages.. But even these greedy evangelists are generally held to a code of ethics. Running off to Thailand like he did broke several circles of trust. Not only has he lied to his wife for years, but he spoke directly into the camera addressing the community and deliberately misled them about his “mental health break”. He even lied about being in COVID lockdown, thus the reason for cancelling his UK meetup.

You can’t take anything useful from a profiteering liar. It’s always going to be how he can extract something from you, be it an interview for content, or joining as a patron. He’ll always be this way.
